The county is located on the Gulf of Mexico, giving boaters and fishermen easy access for some great saltwater fishing. Especially popular in these waters is tarpon fishing.

Lakes peppering the area offer excellent fly-fishing and freshwater fishing. Common catches are largemouth bass and catfish.
